Live Betting Odds at 20 Bet in Canada

It's hard to believe that there was ever a time when you couldn't bet live on your favorite sports events. But until recently, this was the case. You only had pre-match betting options. As soon as a game started, that was it. You couldn't place any wagers.

Live sports betting adds an additional dimension to your betting experience. Bet on games you just found out about when switching the channel a second ago. Use your sports knowledge to follow the game and see the true form of the teams before committing to a bet. Take advantage of increased odds by betting on your favorite team when they're down a goal or a touchdown.

Here's everything you need to know about live betting online.

Types of Live Betting

To be classified as one of the best live sports betting venues, a site has to offer its players an incredibly wide range of betting markets. 20Bet does precisely that. We offer thousands of different types of betting markets, including:

Over / Under
1x2
Handicap
Double chance
Draw no bet
Half time / Full time
Both teams to score.
Correct score
Odd / Even

And that's not it. We also have dozens of additional markets that are specific to each individual sport, the stage of the game, and other variables.

20Bet players are able to bet live on over 30 different sports disciplines. In addition to ice hockey, curling, soccer, eSports, and Canadian football, you can place bets on such sports as:

As you can see, at 20Bet, we offer betting markets on all the sports you care about.

And many sports you don't care about.

At least not yet.

Try placing a bet on a game of darts, table tennis, or Dota2. You never know if one of these sports disciplines will become a new passion for you.

How Does Live Betting Work in Canada?

Betting live allows you to wager on a match while it is in progress. This opens up a wide variety of possibilities.

The most advanced online live betting sites have programs that allow them to follow the happenings in real time and broadcast the information to their users.

20Bet is one such venue.

See how the scoreboard changes, track the players' movements, and know of any other incident that may affect the odds faster than anyone else with our live updates.

We also offer you statistics, assign a payoff amount to each team depending on their odds of winning, and allow you to place multi bets.

Just register, tune in to a match you like, and start betting.

The Main Events on Which You Can Place a Live Bet

At 20Bet, you can place live sports bets on a wide variety of local, national, and international competitions.

We offer betting markets with excellent odds on the most important sporting events, such as the FIFA World Cup and the English Premier League. In addition to that, we also cover a wide variety of local, minor league, and amateur events that do not have much coverage but may still be of interest to you.

If you're a fan of gridiron football, you can bet on everything from NFL and CFL games to the NCAA CFB Playoffs and the Vanier Cup.

If eSports are more your cup of tea, then you can place live bets during your favorite FIFA, Call of Duty, League of Legends, CS:GO, and Overwatch tournaments.

The Pros and Cons of Live Betting

Betting live is amazing. But, as with everything in life, it's not for everyone. So it is vital to know the advantages and disadvantages of this form of sports betting before you place your first wager.

Pros

Ability to get increased odds by timing the market.
Ability to see the team you're betting on “in the flesh” before committing to a bet.
Opportunity to cash in on your knowledge of the game.
Hundreds of additional betting markets and opportunities.

Cons

Not as intuitive for novice bettors.
Live sports betting odds can change very quickly.
Inexperienced bettors can get too “trigger happy”
