Gates of Olympus 2500
Gates of Olympus 2500 Demo
Gates of Olympus 2500 is the newest release in Pragmatic Play's best-known slot series, launched on 28 September 2026. It keeps the familiar 6x5 grid, pay-anywhere wins and tumbling reels. The difference is scale: multiplier symbols now go up to x2,500, the maximum win is 25,000x your bet, and the free spins round comes in four versions. In one of them, every multiplier that lands is counted, whether or not the spin pays.
You can play the Gates of Olympus 2500 demo for free right here at 20Bet, with no deposit needed. When you're ready, switch to real money in the same game. Below you'll find the full rules, RTP and volatility details, the paytable, every bonus buy and special bet option, and a direct comparison with Gates of Olympus 1000.

How to Play Gates of Olympus 2500
The game has no paylines. A win happens when 8 or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the 6x5 grid. The winning symbols then disappear, new symbols fall into the empty spaces, and the process repeats for as long as new wins keep forming. One paid spin can therefore produce a chain of several wins.
- Choose your stake, anywhere from 0.20 to 240 per spin.
- Optionally turn on a special bet to raise your free spins chances or to guarantee multipliers (see below).
- Spin. Any 8+ matching symbols pay, and a tumble follows.
- When the tumble sequence ends, all multiplier symbols on the grid are added together and applied to the total win of that spin.
- Land 4 or more Zeus scatters to trigger free spins.
The game has no wild symbol. Everything depends on symbol clusters, multipliers and scatters.
Gates of Olympus 2500 Paytable
Payouts are shown as multiples of your total bet. Most of the value is in the 12+ column, because a large cluster of a premium symbol with a multiplier on the grid is where big base-game wins come from.
| Symbol | 8–9 | 10–11 | 12+ |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crown | 10x | 25x | 50x |
| Hourglass | 2.5x | 10x | 25x |
| Ring | 2x | 5x | 15x |
| Chalice | 1.5x | 2x | 12x |
| Red gem | 1x | 1.5x | 10x |
| Purple gem | 0.8x | 1.2x | 8x |
| Yellow gem | 0.5x | 1x | 5x |
| Green gem | 0.4x | 0.9x | 4x |
| Blue gem | 0.25x | 0.75x | 2x |
Scatters pay on their own when they trigger the bonus: 3x for 4 scatters, 5x for 5 and 100x for 6 or more.
Multiplier Symbols up to x2,500
Multiplier symbols are what the 2500 is named after. They can land on any spin, in the base game or in the bonus, and stay on the grid until the tumble sequence is over. Possible values are:
x2, x3, x4, x5, x6, x8, x10, x12, x15, x20, x25, x50, x100, x250, x500, x1,000, x1,500, x2,000, x2,500
The last three values are new in this version. In the base game, all multipliers on the grid are added together at the end of a spin and applied to that spin's total win. They then reset before the next paid spin. A multiplier on a spin with no win does nothing in the base game.
In practice, most multipliers you see will be in the single digits, and the top values are rare. Their potential is still large, though. A single x2,500 on a spin that pays 10x is enough to reach the 25,000x cap, so the maximum win can in theory happen without the bonus.
Free Spins: Four Bonus Modes
Landing 4 or more scatters awards 15 free spins. Before the round starts, a wheel spins to choose which of four free spins modes you get. During the round, 3 or more scatters add another 5 spins.
All four modes use a total multiplier that builds up across the whole round and is applied to wins. The difference between them is which multipliers are added to that total and how low a multiplier value can be.
| Mode | Which multipliers count toward the total | Minimum multiplier | Buy price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Spins 1 | Only those that land on a winning spin | x2 | 100x |
| Free Spins 2 | Every multiplier that lands, win or no win | x2 | 250x |
| Super Free Spins 1 | Only those that land on a winning spin | x10 | 500x |
| Super Free Spins 2 | Every multiplier that lands, win or no win | x10 | 1,250x |
Free Spins 1 and Super Free Spins 1: the classic rules
These modes follow the original Gates of Olympus rules. A multiplier adds to the running total only if it lands on a spin that pays. When that happens, the whole accumulated total is applied to the win. Series regulars know the downside: a large multiplier that lands on a losing spin is lost. The Super version raises the lowest multiplier value to x10, so every multiplier that does count is worth much more.
Free Spins 2 and Super Free Spins 2: nothing is wasted
This is the main change in Gates of Olympus 2500. In these modes, every multiplier is added to the total as soon as it lands, including on spins that don't pay. The total multiplier then applies to every win for the rest of the round. A x500 on a dead spin still counts, and every later win in the round uses the higher total. Super Free Spins 2 combines this rule with the x10 minimum, which makes it the strongest and most expensive mode.
When you trigger the bonus naturally, any of the four modes can come up on the wheel. The stronger modes are less likely, but you can win them without buying them.
Bonus Buy and Special Bets
Bonus buy
You can skip the wheel and buy the free spins mode you want directly. The prices match the table above: 100x for Free Spins 1, 250x for Free Spins 2, 500x for Super Free Spins 1 and 1,250x for Super Free Spins 2. Bonus buy availability depends on your jurisdiction, since some regulated markets do not allow it.
Ante bets
Ante bets raise the cost of each spin in exchange for better access to the bonus:
- Ante Bet 1 (1.25x bet): doubles your chance of triggering free spins.
- Ante Bet 2 (2.75x bet): makes free spins 8 times more likely.
- Ante Bet 3 (5.5x bet): makes free spins 8 times more likely and removes Free Spins 1 from the wheel, so you always get Super Free Spins 1, Free Spins 2 or Super Free Spins 2.
Super Spins
- Super Spin 1 (20x bet per spin): at least one multiplier symbol lands on every spin.
- Super Spin 2 (250x bet per spin): at least one multiplier worth x25 or more lands on every spin.
Free spins cannot be triggered while a Super Spin mode is active. A guaranteed multiplier also does not guarantee a win, because the multiplier only pays if the grid forms a winning cluster on that spin.

RTP, Volatility and Max Win
RTP: Gates of Olympus 2500 has three RTP settings: 96.52%, 95.50% and 94.50%. The casino decides which one it runs, and the value in use is shown in the game's information screen. With the 96.52% version, the return changes very slightly when you use extras: about 96.49% with ante bets and 96.50% with Super Spins and bonus buys.
Volatility: High. The game pays something on roughly 28% of spins (hit frequency 27.93%), but most of those wins are small. The large payouts depend on multipliers and the bonus, and it can take hundreds of spins to reach them. The published average is one free spins trigger every 443 spins in the base game.
Max win: 25,000x the bet. Published game statistics put it at about 1 in 13.5 million spins. Big wins at other levels are more common, though still rare:
| Win size | Average frequency |
|---|---|
| 1,000x+ | 1 in 36,459 spins |
| 5,000x+ | 1 in 520,346 spins |
| 10,000x+ | 1 in 1,984,521 spins |
| 25,000x (max) | 1 in 13,477,089 spins |
These are long-run averages, not predictions for any single session. Set your budget with the volatility in mind.
Gates of Olympus 2500 vs Gates of Olympus 1000 vs the Original
If you already play Gates of Olympus 1000, here is what changes in the 2500:
| | Gates of Olympus | Gates of Olympus 1000 | Gates of Olympus 2500 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top multiplier | x500 | x1,000 | x2,500 |
| Max win | 5,000x | 15,000x | 25,000x |
| Max RTP | 96.50% | 96.50% | 96.52% |
| Free spins modes | 1 | 1 | 4 (wheel or buy) |
| Multipliers on losing spins count in bonus | No | No | Yes, in Free Spins 2 and Super Free Spins 2 |
| Guaranteed-multiplier bet modes | No | No | Yes (Super Spin 1 and 2) |
The 1000 was mostly a larger multiplier on the same formula. The 2500 also changes how the bonus works. The "every multiplier counts" modes fix the series' best-known frustration, and the tiered bonus buys and ante bets give you more control over how much volatility you take on. The base game will feel very familiar, and the most expensive bonus options are among the priciest in the series.
Theme and Design
The game is set in the same Mount Olympus scene: a golden temple platform among the clouds, with Zeus next to the reels throwing lightning onto multiplier symbols. The symbols are unchanged, with five gems and four treasures (crown, hourglass, ring and chalice). The update is mostly in the finish: a slightly different grid colour, reworked animations, heavier armour on Zeus and a new coin-filled backdrop for some of the bonus modes. The soundtrack stays close to the 1000 version. The game is built in HTML5 and adjusts to phone screens in portrait or landscape.
Why Try the Gates of Olympus 2500 Demo First
High-volatility games are easier to understand once you've watched them for a few hundred spins, and the 2500 has more options than any earlier Gates game. The free demo on this page lets you:
- see how rarely large multipliers appear in the base game compared with free spins,
- compare Free Spins 1 and Free Spins 2 without paying 100x or 250x for real,
- test whether ante bets or Super Spins suit your budget before you play with real money.
The demo uses the same maths and features as the real-money game, but you play with virtual credits and cannot win real money. Once you know how the game behaves, you can switch to real-money play at 20Bet and keep the settings that worked for you.
Pros and Cons

- Flexible ante bet and Super Spin options
Cons

Is Gates of Olympus 2500 Worth Playing?
If you like the Gates of Olympus series, yes. The 2500 is the first sequel since the original that changes how the bonus plays rather than only raising the numbers. Free Spins 2 is the standout. Watching a large multiplier stay in the total instead of disappearing after a losing spin makes the bonus much more engaging. If you prefer frequent small wins and short sessions, the volatility here is high, so spin the free demo on this page first and take a close look at the bonus buy prices before paying for one. When you're ready, you can play Gates of Olympus 2500 for real money at 20Bet.
