What's New in Gates of Olympus 2500
If you've played Gates of Olympus or the 1000 version, the base game will look familiar. The differences are in the numbers and in the bonus:
- Three new multiplier values: x1,500, x2,000 and x2,500 are added to the existing range, which starts at x2.
- A higher win cap: 25,000x the bet, up from 15,000x in Gates of Olympus 1000.
- A bonus wheel: each natural trigger spins a wheel that picks one of four free spins modes.
- No more wasted multipliers: in two of those modes, a multiplier counts even when it lands on a losing spin.
- Super Spins: new bet modes that guarantee a multiplier on every spin.
- A slightly higher top RTP: 96.52%, compared with 96.50% on earlier versions.
How Gates of Olympus 2500 Works
There are no paylines. Any 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 6x5 grid form a win. The winning symbols then disappear, the ones above drop down, and new symbols fill the gaps. This tumble keeps going as long as new wins appear, so one paid spin can produce several wins in a row.
Multiplier symbols can land on any spin. They stay on the grid until the tumbles finish, and then all of them are added together and applied to that spin's total win. In the base game, a multiplier only matters if the spin has a win, and it resets before the next paid spin. There's no wild. Four or more Zeus scatters trigger the bonus, and the scatters themselves pay 3x, 5x or 100x the bet for 4, 5 or 6+ symbols.
The Four Free Spins Modes
Each mode starts with 15 free spins, and 3 or more scatters during the round add 5 more. What changes from mode to mode is how the total multiplier builds up. That total carries through the entire round.
| Mode | Multipliers added to total | Lowest multiplier | Buy price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Spins 1 | Winning spins only | x2 | 100x |
| Free Spins 2 | All, win or not | x2 | 250x |
| Super Free Spins 1 | Winning spins only | x10 | 500x |
| Super Free Spins 2 | All, win or not | x10 | 1,250x |
The "1" modes use the classic series rule: a multiplier joins the total only if its spin pays, and when it does, the whole accumulated total boosts that win. The "2" modes add every multiplier to the total as soon as it lands and apply that total to every win after that. The "Super" versions raise the minimum multiplier from x2 to x10.
Which Free Spins Mode Should You Buy?
There's no guaranteed-best choice. It depends on how much of your budget you want riding on one bonus. Here's how the four options compare:
- Free Spins 1 (100x): the lowest-cost way into the bonus and closest to the original game. Wins depend on multipliers landing on the right spins.
- Free Spins 2 (250x): the new rule at a mid-range price. Because every multiplier counts, the total tends to build more steadily. It costs 2.5 times as much as Free Spins 1.
- Super Free Spins 1 (500x): classic rules with a x10 minimum multiplier. It's a high-risk option, since big multipliers still don't count if their spin doesn't pay.
- Super Free Spins 2 (1,250x): the strongest mode in the game, but one bonus costs as much as 1,250 base spins. This is for experienced players only, and trying it in demo first is a good idea.
You don't have to buy any of them. A natural trigger can land on any of the four modes, and Ante Bet 3 takes Free Spins 1 off the wheel entirely. Bonus buy availability can depend on your province and account.

Ante Bets and Super Spins
| Option | Cost per spin | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Ante Bet 1 | 1.25x | 2x chance of free spins |
| Ante Bet 2 | 2.75x | 8x chance of free spins |
| Ante Bet 3 | 5.5x | 8x chance of free spins, and the wheel only offers Super Free Spins 1, Free Spins 2 or Super Free Spins 2 |
| Super Spin 1 | 20x | At least one multiplier on every spin |
| Super Spin 2 | 250x | At least one multiplier of x25 or higher on every spin |
While a Super Spin mode is active, free spins can't be triggered. A guaranteed multiplier also doesn't mean a guaranteed win, because the grid still needs 8 or more matching symbols to pay.

RTP, Volatility and Odds of Big Wins
The game comes in three RTP versions: 96.52%, 95.50% and 94.50%. You can check which one is in use in the in-game information screen. With the top version, ante bets bring the RTP down very slightly to about 96.49%, while bonus buys and Super Spins sit at about 96.50%.
Volatility is high. A win of some size lands on about 28% of spins, but most of those are small. The base-game bonus triggers on average once every 443 spins, and large payouts are much rarer than that:
| Win of at least | Average frequency |
|---|---|
| 1,000x | 1 in 36,459 spins |
| 10,000x | 1 in 1,984,521 spins |

Free Spins 2 counts every multiplier that lands, including those on losing spins, so the total multiplier usually builds more consistently. It also costs 250x to buy instead of 100x.
